Hurricane Heroes – Hurricane Preparedness Playing Cards

Hurricane Heroes turns essential preparedness knowledge into something people will actually use and remember.

Created by a University of Miami College of Engineering team focused on disaster resilience, with contributions from disaster scientists, military veterans, and educational outreach specialists who brought real-world lessons into the design. The result is a deck shaped by engineers, scientists, responders, and those who have lived the full cycle of prepare, endure, respond, and recover.

The deck is built on the Aces High Framework: the higher the value of the card, the more important the action or item. Aces are high.

You can play any standard card game. The learning happens simply by interacting with the cards.
